Accessibility Audit

We are working to apply the Gender Equality, Disability and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) lens to ensure inclusive and universal access to water, sanitation and public space services. This is critical not only to meet basic health needs but also to raise awareness about other important rights including the right to social inclusion.
Towards this end we are partnered with AxcesAble Design LLP to develop inclusively designed access to water, sanitation and public space services in Bakkarwala Resettlement Colony.
The first step was conducting an audit wherein @shivani-shah, Founder, AxcesAble Design LLP, and their team including Mr Danesh Kahahraj and Mr Sudarshan visited the colony and interacted with residents to learn about the AIWASI initiative and the accessibility issues faced by the specially-abled members of the community.
