Community Water Forum (CWF)
A dedicated platform to inform the larger water sensitive agenda of Delhi with focus on vulnerable communities.
Functions of CWF:
The core functions of CWF are
- Serves as an INTERFACE between the community and the government stakeholders of the project.
- Serves as a PLATFORM and MEDIATOR for working with disadvantaged communities – to learn about community concerns and to secure stakeholder buy-in.
- Serves as an INSTITUTION for ensuring overall project implementation – to co – ideate the implementation components, to garner support for project implementation and ensure sustainability of the components.
Composition
There are two CWFs – one from each of the project sites – Bakkarwala and Mubarakpur Dabas. The CWF is represented by approximately 25 members from the community, 5 government institutions, local MLAs and the AIWASI consortium
